Alfvén Society's newly established scholarship is intended for a prominent young musician who works in the spirit of composer Hugo Alfvén. 

Johan receives the prize for "having a natural sense of melodic beauty and a presence that touches and inspires, conveying music with a passion that reaches both heart and soul", as stated in the motivation, among other things.
